Instron Training Courses

Instron offers hands-on classroom training courses for engineers, lab technicians, and testing professionals at all experience levels. Taught by certified Instron instructors, courses cover materials testing fundamentals, Bluehill Universal software development, advanced test method configuration, and best practices for producing consistent, accurate results. Courses are available at Instron training facilities and on-site at customer locations.

A foundational course covering the essentials of static materials testing — including mechanical properties, load and elongation curves, stress and strain, modulus, yield, and preset point calculations. Includes live demonstrations on computerized materials testing instruments. Suitable for new users and anyone looking to build a solid understanding of testing fundamentals.

A hands-on introduction to Bluehill Universal software, guided by a certified Instron instructor. Students work through a series of structured projects covering the core tools and features of the software, building a practical understanding of basic test method development from the ground up.

An advanced hands-on course for experienced Bluehill Universal users. Working with a certified Instron instructor, students explore advanced software tools and features through guided projects, gaining practical experience in developing complex test methods and configuring administrative controls.

A comprehensive course covering TestProfiler and the advanced features of Bluehill Universal. Students learn to develop waveforms, configure events and actions, define test results, and build cyclic test setups and sequences. Also covers advanced calculation tools for complex test method development.

A practical course focused on the common causes of inconsistent and inaccurate test results — and how to avoid them. Students leave with the knowledge and techniques needed to produce consistent, accurate, and repeatable results across their materials testing program.
